The NH-U9’s direction of airflow is perpendicular to the long axis of the LGA4677 socket, so it is ideal for systems where the exhaust fans of the chassis are in this direction. For systems that require the airflow to go parallel to the long axis of the socket, please choose the NH-D9 DX-4677 4U. Product DetailsNotes and warnings Please note that the NH-D9 DX-4677 4U is a dedicated version for the Intel LGA4677 socket. Due to its customised larger base, it cannot be used on smaller sockets and is incompatible with Noctua’s mounting kits for these sockets. Please also note that installing an LGA4677 processor and heatsink requires a plastic CPU carrier frame. These carrier frames are included with boxed retail CPUs and available separately via Intel sales partners for tray type CPUs. As different CPUs require different carrier frame types (E1A, E1B or E1C), please make sure to purchase the correct carrier frame for tray type CPUs.Cooler.
